The royal family on Saturday confirmed plans for a state funeral for Queen Elizabeth II, who ruled for 70 years in a historic and controversial reign, who died on Thursday at the age of 96.

The family confirmed in a post on their official website that “the Queen’s funeral will begin at 11am on 19 September. Four days before the funeral.
