New Delhi, Business Desk. Gold Price Today: Gold on Thursday fell by Rs 420 to Rs 60,380 per 10 grams in the national capital Sarafa Bazar amid fall in the prices of the precious metal overseas. In the previous trade, gold had closed at Rs 60,800 per 10 grams. Silver jumped by Rs 500 to Rs 73,300 per kg.
Gold Silver Price Today, Saumil Gandhi, Senior Analyst, Commodities, HDFC Securities said that
in international markets Sleep Gold was trading lower at $1,945 an ounce, while silver was trading at $23.65 an ounce. Gold prices came under pressure as US bond yields rose on expectations of further tightening of interest rates by the US Fed.
Silver futures up on spot demand
Silver prices on Thursday rose by Rs 472 to Rs 72,197 per kg in futures trade as traders widened their holdings due to strong demand in the spot market. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in July rose by Rs 472, or 0.66 per cent, to Rs 72,197 per kg, with a business turnover of 13,801 lots.
Gold future prices fall due to sluggish demand
On Thursday, gold fell by Rs 38 to Rs 59,465 per 10 grams in futures trade. At the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold contracts for August delivery declined by Rs 38, or 0.06 per cent, to Rs 59,465 per 10 grams in a business turnover of 14,330 lots.
the analysts fall in gold prices attributed this to the offloading of deals by traders. Globally, gold was trading 0.10 per cent higher at $1,960.40 an ounce in New York.
